STOP THE CIRCUS AND SAVE THE ANIMALS FROM TORTURE

For centuries circuses have profited greatly but it has always been at the cost of the animals.

I want to ask you to think for a moment of the animals that travel the circuses today. There are dogs, domestic cats, snakes, bears, monkeys, elephants, horses, lions and tigers. How is it that we can train them to do tricks that are unnatural to them. In the past circus trainers used positive reinforcment, but they soon learned that physical punishment was much more faster.
Dogs and cats are terrified of fire. The only way they would ever jump through a hoop ablaze is if the punishment was worse the fire itself.

There are Alternatives to the Useless Torture of Animals
Many people ask, If I can't bring my children to the circuses , then how can they see them and learn about them. May I ask, what benifit does a child receive from seeing animals preform stupid tricks? What impresion are we giving to a child when they see a monkey dance aroung stage with a wig and a dress?
There are safaries, zoos, nature trails, and television documentries.
There are also circuses that have only people performing. Two great examples and The Pickle Family Circus and Cirque du Soliel. Their acts are composed of acrobats, contortionists, tight rope walkers, and clowns.

What Kind of a Life Does an Animal in the Circus Face
Aniamls in the circus live unnatural lives in an unnatural setting.
For example, elephants, in the wild, walk great distances a day looking for food. In the circus their legs are chained and they can not even more a few feet.
The punishments that animals face in the circus include whips, electic prods, clubs, and even water and food deprevation.

Things are starting to change. India, finland and Denmark have banned circuses.

I want to leave you with one more thought:
The rights of animals are important but unless society can see how horrible animals are treated, this useless torture will continue. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING TO STOP THIS!!!
